Carrie Renewed For Season 2 On Prime Video With Mike Flanagan Returning

Prime Video renews Carrie for Season 2

Prime Video has renewed Carrie for a second season, just over two weeks after the series premiered on October 7.

According to Prime Video, the series reached number one on the streaming service in more than 105 countries following its debut.

Mike Flanagan will return as showrunner, writer and executive producer for Season 2, with Stephen King also returning as executive producer.

The renewal confirms that Flanagan’s adaptation will continue beyond the original novel’s events, including Carrie’s infamous prom night.

Flanagan, in a press release, said:

“For 50 years, audiences have known and gravitated to Carrie White’s story. From the beginning, we imagined a story that goes far beyond the prom, and I’m incredibly grateful for Stephen’s trust and support in exploring what comes next.”

All eight Season 1 episodes of Carrie are now available on Prime Video.
