The team at asmodee, previously known as VR Distribution, are bringing a range of games to play at PAX AUS 2025. They will also be joined by Kevin Hovdestad, Director of Brand Development at Catan, in celebration of the game’s 30th anniversary. Also on show from asmodee will be Star Wars: Unlimited, Octocube, and upcoming games like The Sims Board Game and more.

Of course, with the 30th anniversary, Catan 6th Edition will be available for players to check out (you can also check out my review here), and there’s much more Catan to check out from Catan Dice!, to premium dice, and the convention-exclusive Catan Connect. If you’re feeling like a pro, step up against Catan Tournament Champions, Elliot Yap and Kaleb McGillivray-Seaton, and you can win a copy of Exit: The Game – Adventures. Book here if you’d like to take the challenge.

The latest set of Star Wars: Unlimited, Set 5: Legends of the Force, will be at PAX for attendees to check out and learn the game with (check out my review of the set here), and for anyone who comes and plays the game, you’ll earn, while stocks last, an exclusive Darth Tyranus promo card. Additionally, a promo box will be available, limited to 500 units, featuring six unique droid card variants. You can pre-book for Star Wars: Unlimited here.

The team at asmodee also said this in a press release about being a partner of the Tabletop Game Designers Australia:

“This year, asmodee is proud to be the presenting partner of TGDA’s (Tabletop Game Designers Australia) DevCon 2025, helping foster the growth and development of tabletop game design in Australia and hopefully discover the next big Tabletop creator. By backing this annual industry gathering, asmodee strengthens its commitment to nurturing local talent and providing a platform for designers, publishers and creators.”

You can book a session for many of the games that asmodee will have available at PAX AUS 2025 this year on Aftergame. Is there any event in the game you’re excited to get hands-on with? Let me know in the comments section below.
