Stan has released the first teaser trailer and images for Crystal Lake, the upcoming psychological thriller series that serves as a prequel to the Friday the 13th franchise.
Created by Brad Caleb Kane (IT: Welcome to Derry, Tokyo Vice, Warrior), the series stars Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me, DTF St. Louis) as Pam Voorhees and premieres October 16, with all episodes dropping at once exclusively on Stan here in Australia.

This series will explore the events that led up to the original Friday the 13th, rather than retell what we already know. And as fans of the series know, the first film’s killer wasn’t actually Jason but his mother. And in this series, it’ll follow single mother Pam Voorhees after the drowning of her son, Jason, at Crystal Lake, and what she deals with as two strangers show up and begin exploring and investigating her long-buried past.
Alongside Linda Cardellini, the cast includes:

- Devin Kessler as Brianna Brooks
- Cameron Scoggins as Officer Dorf
- Gwendolyn Sundstrom as Grace
- Callum Vinson as young Jason Voorhees
