Cyberpunk 2077 is getting an anime series in 2022, after the launch of the game in November. The series is titled Cyberpunk Edgerunners.
There was no official trailer or footage of the anime series shown, but the calibre and subject material is enough to get most people excited. The name itself comes from the ‘Edgerunners’ sourcebook for the tabletop game which was released in 1995.

“CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.”
The anime is being worked on by Studio Trigger in collaboration with CD Projekt Red and Netflix.
Studio Trigger is most famous for their work on Kill La Kill and Darling in the Franxx. Their most recent work was on BNA: Brand New Animal, another Netflix anime series.
