Mintrocket, the studio behind the hit underwater adventure Dave the Diver, has officially revealed its next game, Bancho the Chef.
Announced during PlayStation’s State of Play last week, Bancho The Chef is a standalone prequel that follows Bancho long before the events of Dave The Diver, chronicling his early years as an aspiring chef as he travels across Asia to master his craft.

It looks like you’ll be progressing through story-driven missions, cooking minigames and restaurant management to unlock new recipes, attract customers and earn the approval of local culinary masters.
“Bancho has long been a fan-favourite character in Dave The Diver, and as a somewhat mysterious personality and highly skilled chef, we knew he was deserving of his own fully realised backstory,” said Jaeho Hwang, Head of Mintrocket. “This game is special to our team for many reasons, but most of all, we are thrilled to bring another adventure into the world that our fans love so much.”
Bancho The Chef is currently in development for PC and consoles, though Mintrocket has yet to announce a release date.
