After rumours all week long, 505 Games has confirmed that Kojima Productions’ first game, Death Stranding is coming to PC Game Pass next week, on August 23rd.
The game has been available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, but this is the first time it’ll be playable with the Xbox ecosystem. Which is surprising to say out loud, given the game was at one point a PlayStation exclusive and was built within the Decima Engine, which Guerrilla Games own.
This isn’t the Director’s Cut of the game, so you won’t have the racing or additional missions that version of the game provided, but it’s one of the best games in recent years and in my review of the PC version, I said:
“Death Stranding on PC is another way to play one of this generation’s greatest games. It’s a stunning journey like no other than you can now experience in 4K/60, with ultra-wide support – if you want all the bells and whistles. Playing the game again has solidified how amazing it is and I’m excited PC players will now have a chance to experience this truly unique and special experience — keep on, keeping on!”
