This morning during WWDC2023, Apple and Hideo Kojima himself announced that Death Stranding would be coming to MacOS and a gaming mode coming to Macs.

The upcoming new Mac update, MacOS Sonoma, will come with a ‘game mode’ enabling games to play with less latency on-screen and in your ears. When this mode is switched on, the Mac will prioritize games with the CPU and GPU.

However, the biggest surprise, and something that probably was not on anyone’s bingo cards for this year, was Kojima turning up at WWDC2023 to announce that Death Stranding: Director’s Cut would be coming to Mac later this year. Kojima discussed being a longtime Mac and Apple fan before announcing the game. A once PlayStation exclusive, now on Mac — who would have thought?!
