The hectic physics-based puzzle matching game Tumble Time from developer Nopopo and published Devolver Digital will finally launch on mobiles next week, on January 26th.

Tumble Time features many characters from Devolver-published games like  GRIS, Enter the Gungeon, Hotline Miami, Shadow Warrior, Serious Sam, Reigns and more, and these are the little characters you’ll be attempting to match in the Tumble Time machine. Every time I’ve seen a gameplay video for Tumble Time, I want to try it out, but I don’t fully understand what’s happening on screen. The chicken character from Hotline Miami appears at some stage in the new launch trailer and uses a special baseball bat power to clear a line, which is cool, but how did they activate it?!

I’m also pretty sure your character is playing the game at highly inappropriate times, which is a different can of worms to dig into.

Here’s the best part of the description of the game from the supplied press release:

“With over 14 different types of in-game currency, fancy ads for fictional games, endless upgrade tiers, super special offers, and more besides, Devolver Tumble Time answers the age-old question “What if F2P was actually fun?””

As someone who loves a good puzzle game on the go and Devolver Digital games, I’m excited to get hands-on with Tumble Time next week. Are you going to be downloading it? Let me know in the comment section below.
