If you’re a fan of Magic: The Gathering as well as Doctor Who, it’s a special week with the release of the Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond: Doctor Who set.
As a “Universes Beyond” set, there are no traditional boosters available for this set, and instead, you’ll have to fork out for either a Commander Deck or a Collector’s Booster. That said, there are a lot of beautiful-looking cards in this special set, which makes parting with the money needed easier.
Four commander decks are available, each starring a different Doctor (or Master) and containing:
- A 100-card Commander deck
- Contains 50 new-to-Magic cards
- Face commander and featured commander appear in traditional foil.
- 10 Double-faced tokens
- 10 Oversized new-to-Magic plane cards
- 1 Planar die
- 1 Deck box
- 1 Life tracker
- 1 Collector Booster Sample Pack
- 2 Alternate-frame cards, at least one of which will appear as rare or mythic rare
Here’s what each of the decks are.
- Blast from the Past (Green-White-Blue), which features The Fourth Doctor.
- Timey-Wimey (Blue-Red-White), which features the 10th Doctor.
- Paradox Power (Green-Blue-Red) which features the 13th Doctor alongside Yasmin Khan.
- And finally, Masters of Evil (Blue-Black-Red), which features Missy (The Master), a Cyberman and a Dalek.
If you’re chasing the ‘TARDIS Showcase’ cards, you’ll have to dive into packs of Collectors Boosters.
