DOOM: The Dark Ages – Revelations Launches July 8 With New Chain Spear Weapon

Revealed during last week’s Xbox Games Showcase, DOOM: The Dark Ages – Revelations launches on July 8 and continues the Doom Slayer’s story with the addition of a new story, as well as a weapon for players to get excited about tearing into.

The biggest gameplay addition in this DLC is the Chain Spear, a new weapon that looks set to add another layer to The Dark Ages’ already weighty combat. According to id Software, the Chain Spear “rewards mastery with greater mobility and power.” At the same time, the expansion itself will feature new levels, tougher puzzles, fresh enemies, and more mysteries to uncover.

Players who own the Premium Edition, Collector’s Bundle, or previously purchased the Digital Upgrade will receive Revelations at no extra cost. Everyone else can pick up the expansion separately for AUD $31.95 or upgrade to the Premium Edition for AUD $59.95.
