Dungeon Pizza| PAX Australia 2026 Preview

Dungeon Pizza combines pizza-making in a dungeon with interactive gameplay, featuring quirky ingredients and engaging customer dialogue, promising fun experiences in a full release.

Dungeon Pizza had me setting up my pizza shop in a dungeon to serve the interesting folks adventuring in there. With a variety of ingredients, including rats’ tails, eyeballs, and spicy peppers. Underneath the weird and wonderful ingredients was a familiar process that took me back to my pizza shop working days.

The early part of the demo had me interacting with the adventuring folks in the dungeon, making and selling pizzas to help them with their journey. After taking the order, I moved to the back room where a sentient dough ball produced some pizza dough for me, and I moved to another room to knead the balls and toss them into the pizza shape. All these processes were interactive and fun.

Now I had some flat dough; it was on to the important part: spreading the sauce, adding the cheese and then selecting and applying the correct toppings. Each customer tells you roughly what they like, and part of the game is to figure it out and give them what they want and need. My favourite part was a toss-up between the process of kneading the dough and the spreading of the sauce. Both had a fun interactive side to them that stood out.

The dialogue with the customers brought a bit of humour to the dank dungeon, as did some of the requested ingredients. I would expect the conversations to expand into stories in the full game if what the developers stated comes to the full game. Getting to know the customers and gaining more ingredients could be a blast.

I quite enjoyed this game; I could see myself playing it on a cool night and then making some real pizzas as I played. The game brought back some fond memories of my time in a pizza shop, and the mini games during the pizza-making process were cool.

Dungeon Pizza is available to be wishlisted on Steam; However, no release date has been announced.
