Everest: The Other Side Australian Release Date Confirmed
Free Solo filmmakers Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin return with Everest: The Other Side
Oscar-winning Free Solo filmmakers Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin are returning to the mountains with Everest: The Other Side, opening in Australian cinemas and IMAX on October 29.
The new National Geographic film premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and follows mountaineers Jim Morrison and Hilaree Nelson as they attempt the very dangerous ‘North Face Route,’ which is considered a significantly more challenging choice than the ‘South East Ridge,’ which is the one most choose when facing Nepal’s famous mountain.

Vasarhelyi and Chin previously directed the Academy Award-winning Free Solo, which followed Alex Honnold’s free solo ascent of El Capitan, as well as the mountaineering documentary Meru.
Everest: The Other Side opens in IMAX and Australian cinemas on October 29.
