As part of D23, the first ever Disney & Marvel Games Showcase was held, bringing first looks to upcoming games and a few world premiere reveals.
It was a pre-recorded event hosted by Kinda Funny’s Blessing Adeoye Jr. The Disney & Marvel Games Showcase very quickly blasted through many games reveals in a blink, and you’ll miss it moments. The big reveals were the first look at Amy Hennig’s Marvel game with Skydance New Media and a Disney character 2D platformer.
Here’s everything that was announced or shown during the showcase.

A new release date of December 2 was given following the game’s “indefinite delay” out of October a few months ago. A new gameplay video revealed this news.

We also got a trailer for an upcoming set of five animated shorts that’ll set up the backstory of the game and its characters.

I’ve been playing a lot of Marvel Snap already while it’s in early access, but the game is officially set to launch on October 18.
Aliens: Dark Descent
After being revealed a couple of months ago, we again got a quick look at the upcoming squad-based, top-down tactical Aliens game that sees you take the aliens as a team of space marines. It’s coming to PC and consoles in 2023.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
A very short clip of the upcoming Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was shown. Maybe about 15-20 seconds.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
Cassian Andor, Reva from the Obi-Wan series, Captain Rex and more are coming to the game soon in a new character pack.
A ‘Galactic Edition of the game is coming on November 1 as well, which will include 13-character packs.
Return To Monkey Island
<div class="sqs-video-wrapper" data-provider-name="YouTube" data-html="
“>
We got a fresh look at Return To Monkey Island with words from Dominic Armato, the voice of Guybrush Threewood in the game.
Gargoyles Remastered
The 1995 Gargoyles game is getting a remaster but will keep the classic scream of enemies as you throw them off a building.
Disney Mirroverse
I hadn’t heard of Disney Mirrorverse until this showcase, but the game launched on mobile devices in June 2022. This trailer was for a new season of content coming to the game next month, which looks to bring a bunch of villains to the game, including Hades, Ursula, Oogie Boogie and more.
Disney Speedstorm
Disney Speedstorm is still set to release sometime in 2022, but today developer Gameloft revealed that characters from Monsters Inc. would be joining the kart racer.
Disney Dreamlight Valley
Disney Dreamlight Valley launched into Early Access earlier this week, but there’s still more content on the way soon with the addition of a Toy Story adventure, which is coming “this fall.”
Avatar: Reckoning
In an odd move, the showcase featured very little of the Avatar game most would be looking to know more about and instead a deeper focus on this upcoming MMORPG for mobile devices. Nonetheless, it seems pretty good. You customize your Navi, explore the world of Pandora, and take on creatures and humans. There’s also a PVP mode where you can shoot it out in what looked like team deathmatch modes.
Avatar: Reckoning is coming to mobile devices soon.
Amy Henning & Skydance New Media’s Untitled Marvel Game
Our first teaser for Henning and Skydance New Media’s first game revealed it’ll be set during World War II and focus on Captain America and Black Panther. Nothing much more to go on than that, and having no title was weird.
Marvel World of Heroes
From Niantic, the developer behind Pokemon GO, comes Marvel World of Heroes. It’s coming in 2023, but the trailer didn’t show gameplay yet.
