There are a couple of exclusive movies and series making their way to AMC+, Acorn TV and HIDIVE in October 2025.
Two exclusive films cap off October with the release of Darwin, starring Danielle LaRoach, and Operation: Aunties, which stars Melissa De Sousa. And when it comes to anime on HIDIVE, there are three simulcast series debuting in October.

OCTOBER 1
Love After Lockup: Season 5, Part 6 [AMC+ Series]
Groundbreaking docuseries introduces couples as they prepare for the big release day – and an even bigger wedding day. As most of these couples have never had unsupervised contact with one another, we will watch as they experience several “firsts” including dates, meeting the family and other nerve-wracking, intimate moments. The newly free excons are lucky enough to walk into the open arms of their loved one but will also deal with the difficulties of reentry; including temptations in the outside world, rules and regulations due to parole, difficulties of job hunting with a rap sheet, and of course judgement from family and friends. Each is a tale of love and redemption, full of surprises and shocking moments, begging the question “Is love enough to create a bright future when one partner has a checkered past?”
Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! [Simulcast Premiere – New Episodes Every Wednesday]
The new fantasy series Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! offers action and adventure all through fall with new simulcast subtitled episodes every Wednesday in October, following its September 24 premiere. In this world a goddess bestows each person with a class and skills that will determine one’s life direction. Despite being born the son of a Sword Princess and an Archmage, Arel has not received a class or skills. So, Arel must rely on his own grit, determination and natural talents to pursue and achieve greatness—becoming a new kind of hero. A hero without a class! Dusk Beyond the End of the World [Simulcast Premiere – New Episodes Every Thursday]
The new sci-fi drama and original anime Dusk Beyond the End of the World brings a futuristic world to life this fall with new subtitled simulcast episodes every Thursday this October, following its September 25 premiere. The world is on the verge of changing from an old-fashioned society to a new world, due to issues such as gender, race and compliance along with technological innovations such as an evolving AI. Even in this world where black and white is now gray, we believe that “love” will always exist but in myriad forms and not just between people. This includes love between human and robot and its unique expression. The beauty of these emotions will be shown sometimes beautifully, sometimes brutally, and sometimes comically. How long can this love last? When a robot outlives its human partner, can their love hope to endure? Dusk Beyond the End of the World is directed and written by Naokatsu Tsuda along with character design by Yoshiko Saito and produced by P.A.Works.
