BritBox has an original series and some big bingeable additions in September.

The original series Death Valley stars Timothy Spall as a retired actor who must team up with a new detective to solve a murder it looks like it could be a lot of curmudgeonly crime-fighting fun. And in terms of bingeable stuff, what’s better than all six seasons of Downton Abbey and a whole season of Would I Lie To You?

Dinosaur Apocalypse [New To BritBox]

Grace: Season 5 [Exclusive BritBox Series]

John Simm (Life on Mars, Crime) returns as Detective Superintendent Roy Grace for another season based on the best-selling novels by renowned author Peter James. This series delves into four new investigations that push Grace and his team into some of their most high stakes cases yet. From a chilling stadium threat that drags Grace into the dangerous underworld of organised crime, to a mysterious hotel death linked to a trail of digital deception, he must navigate the criminal landscape where nothing is as it seems while also still reeling from the emotional fallout of Sandy’s death.

SEPTEMBER 26

This Way Up: Season 1 & Season 2 [New To BritBox]

This new comedy is about moving on, moving forward and trying to find happiness. Aine (Aisling Bea) is a whip smart English-as-a-foreign language (TEFL) teacher trying to pull her life back together after a “teeny little nervous breakdown”. Her sister Shona (Sharon Horgan) worries not only about her younger sibling but also about her own life choices. The school where Aine teaches brings together a room full of characters also trying to find their own hope, direction and happiness in this messy world.

Happiness is a destination we all want to reach, but how we get there is never easy. This Way Up is a sharp, poignant comedy that with warmth and keen-edged wit, shows that the journey to happiness is harder for some than others.

Would I Lie To You: Season 17 [New To BritBox]

The award-winning comedy panel show returns with more hilarious storytelling and outrageous deception. Lightning-quick team captains are joined by a variety of celebrity guests as they attempt to hoodwink each other with bizarre facts and convincing falsities.
