Shudder is debuting a new original series from the creators of Slasher in June. It’s titled Hell Motel and sounds like it’s going to live up to that title. This month, we will also see the premiere of The Rule of Jenny Pen on the streaming service. The film stars Geoffrey Rush and John Lithgow, two high-profile actors.

- Hell Motel [Shudder Original Series]
From the creators of Slasher, this all-new horror anthology series — starring Emmy® Award-winner Eric McCormack — follows a group of ten true crime obsessives invited to the opening weekend of the newly renovated Cold River Motel, the site of a 30-year-old unsolved satanic mass murder. History begins to repeat itself when the guests become stranded and start getting picked off one by one in a murder spree that grows exponentially more gruesome with each kill.

- The Rule of Penny Pen [Shudder Original Film]
Arrogant judge Stefan Mortensen (Geoffrey Rush) suffers a near-fatal stroke that leaves him partially paralysed and confined to a retirement home. There, Mortensen clashes with a seemingly gentle resident named Dave Crealy (John Lithgow), who is secretly terrorising the home with a sadistic game called The Rule of Jenny Pen, using his dementia doll as an instrument of cruelty. When Mortensen’s pleas to the staff go ignored, he takes it upon himself to put an end to Crealy’s reign of terror.
JUNE 23

A maverick, heavy-drinking journalist pursues a killer who is targeting acquaintances of his, prompting the police to brand him a suspect in their investigation.
