A twenty-minute State of Play kicked off Thursday morning, focusing on games coming out of Japan, although there were a couple of diversions from that theme. Overall it was a decent showcase, but there are no big hitters in here if you’re looking for the next Final Fantasy or a Bloodborne remaster.
ExoPrimal
Things kicked off with Ivy the android informing us of a Dinosaur outbreak as hundreds of thousands of dinosaurs were dropping out of a black hole. Including a big old T-Rex, of course. This was the first trailer for ExoPrimal, a brand new IP from Capcom coming to PS5 and PS4 next year. No, it doesn’t look like it’s connected to Dino Crisis.
Ghostwire Tokyo
Ghostwire Tokyo was up next, which is fair considering the game is out on March 25th. It was probably the most action intense and scariest trailer the game has to date.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin
Talking about games coming out soon — a new demo for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will be available today. The full game releases on March 18th for PS4 and PS5.
