Obi-Wan himself, Ewan McGregor confirmed on the Graham Norton Show that the Disney+ series about Obi-Wana is only a couple of months away from finally shooting.

There’s not much we know about the show at the moment. But it will star McGregor as an Obi-Wan keeping a mindful eye on a young Luke Skywalker on Tatooine. The series is set eight years after Revenge of the Sith but eleven years before Revenge of the Sith. So as much as it’s still a long time before an older Sir Alex Guinness portrayed Obi-Wan will head off Tattowin in the Millenium Falcon with Han and Chewie, it’s still the closest to that version of the character McGregor will have played.

On the Graham Norton Show, McGregor said he will be watching a lot of McGuiness films in preparation for the role. He went on to say that he wants to play Obi-Wan as close to how McGuiness would have as he can.
