Fast & Furious Spy Racers: Rise of SH1FT3R Releasing This November

Netflix series becomes a video game with Fast & Furious Spy Racers: Rise of SH1FT3R.

Look, I didn’t love Fast and Furious Crossroads. I had a great time streaming it and got some laughs, but it wasn’t a great game. However, as an admitted Fast & Furious super-fan, I will get excited about any Fast and Furious video games.
Announced this morning, Fast & Furious Spy Racers: Rise of SH1FT3R will release this November for all video game platforms. The game is based on the Netflix series Fast & Furious Spy Racers and focuses on fun co-op and multiplayer experiences.
You’ll be able to race across five tracks, including the locations of the first three season of the Netflix series, Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro and the Sahara Desert, respectively. Mexico wasn’t mentioned, which is where the latest season was set.
Check out the reveal trailer below.
Although the gameplay trailer doesn’t seem to showcase it, a story mode is mentioned in a press release. Presumably, that’ll focus on the return of SH1FT3R, which was the gang of lead villain Shashi Dhar in the shows the first season.
You’ll have access to 15 different spy gadgets, which you’ll use in races to slow down or overtake your opponents. The gameplay almost looks like a Kart racer.
The game features online multiplayer and couch co-op.
“We’re huge fans of the series and how it builds on the incredible legacy of the film saga and brings amazing characters and incredible action to a whole new audience, said Terry Malham, CEO of publisher Outright Games. “We hope the game can bring the same level of fun and excitement to players, whether they’re playing solo or taking on family and friends in multiplayer.’’

Fast & Furious: Spy Racers Rise of SH1FT3R releases for Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC this November.
