Disney and Marvel released the first teaser trailer for Fantastic Four: First Steps, which introduces us to the MCU’s version of these major characters.

In the trailer, we get to see all members of the Fantastic Four, although some get a little more screen time than others in this first look. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch and The Thing are all here, but it’s The Thing who makes up most of the trailer, even playing into Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s time on The Bear with the kitchen scene starting the teaser off. Every character is seen using their powers except Mr. Fantastic in this teaser, which may or may not be done on purpose.

Towards the end of the teaser, we also see the shadow of Glactus, but not The Silver Surfer. Ralph Ineson will play Glactus, and Julia Garner will play Silver Surfer.

As seen in the teaser trailer, it’s set in the 1960s but also seems heavily inspired by The Jetsons. This isn’t set in the ‘Sacred Timeline,’ where all the core MCU films are; instead, it’s in its own universe. So we will have to wonder how these characters will end up mingling with our current cast of MCU main-players. But with the MCU spending the last several years telling Multiverse stories, there are plenty of opportunities.
