Amidst the terrible war in their country, Ukrainian developer Frogwares continues to work hard on their upcoming projects, including Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, a remake of the 2006 game of the same name.
The Awakened sees Sherlock & Watson take on an Eldritch horror as they investigate and missing person case that quickly spirals into something else involving a cult of Cthulu creature worshipers.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is scheduled to release on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One & Nintendo Switch early in 2023.
Sergiy Organesyan, Head of Publishing at Frogwares, said the following about the game and the continued work while dealing with a war outside their window:
“By around May or June 2022, our team had become quite stable and adept at working with the war raging on in the background. But since October, missile strikes across the entire country have ramped up immensely with civilian electricity, internet and water infrastructure being the main targets. So, like the whole country , we are grappling with constant power outages, unstable internet connections, heating issues and so forth. It’s an inconvenience that hinders our work, brought to us courtesy of an incompetent and cowardly army who need to try starve and freeze civilians in order to claim victory. But we have figured out ways to deal with these hurdles like everyone else and simply keep moving forward.”
