Fathers-Day-2020-Guide-Thumbnail.jpg

Fathers Day in Australia is on September 6th and in case you’re struggling to think of a gift, I have some suggestions for you from the Nintendo fan to the PC gamer.

Let me know in the comments section below if you use any of my suggestions!

PlayStation Gamers – Ghost of Tsushima

Honestly, if you’re buying anyone a PS4 now I think it’s a bit silly. We don’t know the price of the PS5 and there’s no way to tell if you’d be better off holding onto your money to just buy the latest console. Especially since this one will be backwards compatible. So, since most of us have more free time, a massive open-world samurai game is probably the way to go.

Ghost of Tsushima is the latest release from Sucker Punch who made the inFamous series. There’s bloody combat, lots of collectables, a heap of sidequests and it all takes place on an utterly beautiful island.

Xbox Gamers – Xbox Game Pass/Ultimate

With the way Xbox is setting themselves up for the next generation, it’s easy to pick what the best thing to buy for an Xbox Gamer is — it’s Game Pass.

The subscription service is available on both console and pc, or you can pay for both as ‘Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.’ The service gives you access to over a hundred games with new ones rotating in every month alongside all the major releases. Halo, Gears of War, Batman: Arkham Knight, Grounded, Yakuza Kiwami, Man of Medan, and many more are apart of the service.

Nintendo Gamer – Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is hugely popular and for good reasons. It’s adorable, it’s charming, and hey, it’s kinda addictive. You travel to your island and begin making it your home. Play online with friends and it’s basically the perfect game for 2020.

PC Gamer Cloud Stinger Core Wireless +7.1

PC gamers don’t want games — they want gear! Trust me, they still have 150 games from the last Steam sale to play through.

The Cloud Stinger is a fantastic headset and the wireless version is everything the original had and more. The faux 7.1 surround is actually solid and the headset is super comfy. The headset works on PC and PS4 as well which is super handy. Best of all this headset is way cheaper than you’d expect, given the price of most wireless headsets.

Personal Wish – Steelseries Apex Pro Mechanical Keyboard

I’m not a father. But doesn’t mean I don’t deserve gifts! If I was picking something out of my wish basket it’d have to be the Steelseries Apex Pro Mechanical Keyboard. This thing is a beast with fast and customizable keys as well as an OLED that displays information from games and apps right in front of your fingers. It is quite expensive though!
