HandyGames Becomes THQ Nordic Mobile In New Publishing Shift

HandyGames has officially transitioned to THQ Nordic Mobile, with the publisher now focusing on bringing premium PC and console games to mobile devices, while HandyGames Studios will continue working on original games. Yes, it’s a little confusing.

The change will see THQ Nordic Mobile become the dedicated publishing arm for mobile adaptations of games from the THQ Nordic portfolio.

HandyGames already has experience in the mobile space, having previously brought games including Wreckfest, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated and Titan Quest to mobile.

While the publishing side of the business is changing names, the company’s development team in Giebelstadt isn’t going anywhere. It will continue operating as HandyGames Studios, developing original games.

HandyGames co-founders Christopher Kassulke and Markus Kassulke will continue leading both THQ Nordic Mobile and HandyGames Studios.
