Marvel continues to tease the behemoth film they have coming at the end of 2026 and has announced that Hayley Atwell will return as Peggy Carter in Avengers: Doomsday.

The announcement came during the film’s Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, where Atwell joined directors Anthony and Joe Russo, along with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, and Anthony Mackie. Peggy will presumably be making her return alongside Chris Evans as Steve Rogers in the universe he’s been staying in, having a normal life alongside Peggy.

Marvel also showed attendees exclusive footage from the upcoming film, with fans taking part in the presentation by wearing Doctor Doom masks and cloaks handed out before the panel.

Avengers: Doomsday is continuing to look like a massive film, bringing together the biggest cast of characters from across the Marvel universe. The film releases in Australian cinemas on December 17th, 2026.
