HBO has released the official trailer for The Last of Us this morning, which debuts on Binge & Foxtel in Australia on January 16th.
The trailer embodies the tone of The Last of Us Part 1 game and will tell the road-trip story from the first game with Joel (Pedro Pascal) tasked with getting Ellie (Bella Ramsey) across a ravaged post-apocalyptic America.

Fans of the games will be able to spot characters from the game, including Sarah (Nico Parker), Bill (Nick Offerman) and two Australian actors, Anna Torv as Tess and Murray Bartlett as Frank.
The nine-episode series is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin, who previously worked on the Emmy award-winning Chenbyl series for HBO and Neil Druckmann, the creator and writer of the two Last of Us games at Naughty Dog.
Troy Baker plays Joel in the games, and Ashley Johnson, who plays Ellie, will also appear in the series.
