I Know What You Did Last Summer is the latest 90s horror franchise to receive a legacy sequel-rebirth.
The film is in cinemas from July 17, and although you don’t need to have watched the first two films from the 90s to appreciate its story fully, it would help you with some references.
There are NO SPOILERS in this article. I’m here only to tell you how many after-credit scenes there are and if they’re worth hanging around to watch in the cinema or skipping right out to dodge the traffic and get home.
HOW MANY AFTER-CREDITS SCENES DOES ‘I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER (2025) CONTAIN?
There’s one mid-credits sequence that pops up here. The credits kick in as the camera follows along the rocky cliff faces, where two fateful events now occur, before cutting to a scene.
ARE THEY WORTH STICKING AROUND TO WATCH?
Very much so, but beware, it’s for fans of the two original films. For a movie that wasn’t very reliant on nostalgia, this mid-credits scene switches things up with a cameo and the potential for where this series could be headed next, as long as it does well at the box office.
