This morning during the State of Play, Infold Games revealed that Infinity Nikki would be coming to PS5.

The Nikkis series of games has been in development for 12 years, and Infinity Nikki is the fifth game in the series. Something I didn’t know at all until Runhao Yao, producer of Infinity Nikki, shared that on the PS Blog.  

In the game, the clothing style players choose to wear for Nikki will change her magical powers and more in the game world. Yao shared information on the three outfits for Nikki that were seen in the trailer.

  • Floating Outfit: Nikki becomes lighter and can effortlessly float over obstacles.
  • Purification Outfit: Nikki releases magical orbs to save creatures that have been corrupted by demonic energy.
  • Gliding Outfit: When navigating through a large stone forest, Nikki wears this to glide through the air on a flower she summons.
  • Shrinking Outfit: Nikki can shrink and stay on Momo’s head to pass through places that are inaccessible to others. Controlling Momo allows you to experience a unique gameplay perspective. Momo’s tiny physique allows him to easily enter tight spaces such as tree holes or a cannon. He can also interact with special mechanisms. For example, he can use air currents to lift himself and explore higher or hidden locations.

Infinity Nikki also has plenty of cute and wonderful creatures to meet, including a cat with shirt-like fur. Players can ride in hot air balloons and more between puzzle-solving and collecting items.

A beta test for the “open-world x dress-up adventure” is coming to PS5 in Q3 2024.
