Somehow, Jigsaw has returned again.
Tobin Bell’s Jigsaw dies in SAW III, but that hasn’t stopped the character from returning, again and again, thanks to flashbacks and a seemingly endless amount of tapes he’s left for others to watch. And it seems like he’s going to be at it again, with Lionsgate announcing that Bell will return as Jigsaw/John Kramer in the next entry in the SAW franchise.
Kevin Greutert, who directed SAW VI and the aptly titled SAW: The Final Chapter, will return to direct the upcoming film. There’s no word on the film’s plot, how it’ll tie in, or if it’ll tie into Spiral, which starred Chris Rock as a detective chasing a Jigsaw copycat and was left open for a sequel.
