The first trailer for Martin Scorseese’s upcoming Killers of the Flower Moon has been released today, and it looks haunting and brutally beautiful. 

Killers of the Flower Moon focuses on the Osage Nation, who become some of the wealthiest people in the world at the turn of the 20th century thanks to oil found on their land. However, all of these Native Americans were targeted for manipulation out of their money straight away, and a spree of murders began to take place, which were investigated by a young J. Edgar Hoover.

The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, playing Ernest Burkhart, and Lily Gladstone as his wife, Mollie Kyle. With co-stars Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion, William Belleau, Louis Cancelmi, Tatanka Means, Michael Abbot Jr., Pat Healy, Scott Shepard, Jason Isbell, and Sturgill Simpson. It’s directed by  Martin Scorsese, written by Scorsese and Eric Roth, and based on the book by David Grann.  

Killers of the Flower Moon will premiere in cinemas on October 19th before streaming globally on Apple TV+ sometime later.
