Kingdom Hearts IV is targeting late 2027
At D23, Square Enix announced that Kingdom Hearts IV is set for release in late 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The release window was announced alongside a new extended trailer revealing a world inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Coco.
Kingdom Hearts IV will continue Sora’s story in the mysterious city of Quadratum, where the Heartless are causing havoc. The latest trailer also confirmed the return of Donald Duck and Goofy, while Mickey Mouse will have a larger role, and you’ll also be able to control Mickey, Donald and Goofy in Kingdom Hearts IV.
It was also announced that an original Kingdom Hearts anime series is in development for Disney Channel and Disney+.
