LEGO Star Holiday Special Looks Hillarious In First Trailer

Of all the things to revive, the Star Wars Holiday Special probably wasn’t on a lot of peoples minds. But not only does this animated special look like a lot of fun and full of laughs, but it also seem to be very self-aware of the joke the original Star Wars Holiday Special is with fans.
The animated special under Disney this time comes in the form of a LEGO animated movie. It’s set after the event of The Rise of Skywalker (although don’t take this as canon) and follows Rey as she prepares for Life Day by seeking a deeper knowledge of the force. However, at a Jedi Temple, she ends up hurling through time and crossing paths with young Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan and more from the classic films.

Ken Cunningham (Lego Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nubar) directs with a script from David Shayne (Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures).
Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) have all been confirmed to be reprising their roles from the films. Star Wars: The Clone Wars vets Matt Lanter (Anakin Skywalker), Tom Kane (Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn), James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi), and Dee Bradley Baker (clone troopers) are also returning to their well-known roles in the Star Wars animated-verse.
LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special premieres November 17th on Disney+.
