The 2008 cult classic OFF is finally coming to Steam and Nintendo Switch in an official capacity, following a 2011 fan English translation. And this brand-new version is getting a new original soundtrack, with music from Toby Fox.

Known for UNDERTALE and DELTARUNE, Toby Fox is a developer who loves Earthbound-inspired games. Like many others, he initially came across OFF on the Starmen.net focus, an Earthbound fan site. In his own UNDERTALE artbook, Toby Fox cited OFF as an inspiration for designers in his game.

Fangamer reached out to Alias Conrad Coldwood to reuse the original soundtrack for OFF. However, he ” felt nervous about signing and proved hard to reach.” So, the developer of this port, Mortis Ghost, reached out to Toby Fox to inquire about him working on music for this project, and all parties agreed that he would do some of the songs. Toby Fox will be handling a lot of the boss tracks in the game, as well as the normal battle theme.

It won’t just be Toby Fox working on the music for OFF; the team at Fangamer has shared another new song now, ‘Clocks Work’ by Morusque, who worked on the music for Stray and Seasons after Fall.
