Luke Hemsworth joins the cast of Deadloch: Season 2

Luke Hemsworth is joining the cast of Deadloch for its second season.

In the second season of Deadloch, Dulcie and Eddie leave Tasmania and head to Darwin to investigate the death of Eddie’s former partner. While they’re together in the Northern Territory, they meet the character played by Hemsworth, a croc wrangler.

Creators, executive producers and writers Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan said the following about Hemsworth joining the cast of Deadloch: Season 2:

“Luke Hemsworth is joining our cast as croc-wrangling Territory icon, Jason Wade. We’re feeling very happy with ourselves about this because he’s perfect. It’s perfect casting.”

Deadloch premiered in June 2023 on Prime Video, with the first season set in a fictional town in Tasmania, where a body has been found on a beach. Kate Box plays local Senior Sergent Dulcie Collins, who is on the case, but she gets a surprise when Madeleine Sami’s detective, Eddie Redlife, is sent down from Darwin to help out with the case.
