The Pokémon Happy Meals have made a return to the U.S, but as of writing, I don’t have a date for when they’ll be in Australian stores.
Similar to last year’s release of Happy Meals, each will come with a 4-card booster pack containing one foil and some other goodies. This year that’s a coin featuring a different Pokémon, a spinner, a card box and an instruction booklet for a quick-to-play game.

Last year when the Happy Meals were released, the world was still in full Pokémon craze mode thanks to popular content creators, and they sold out everywhere. Prices for the boosters were ridiculously driven up, and looking on eBay was a sad state of affairs. Hopefully, this year I can grab a couple of Happy Meals myself and leave enough for the kids, aka the target audience of the Happy Meal and Pokémon, to have their share of the fun.
I’ll update you all if I see McDonald’s Australia announce anything regarding a date when the Happy Meals will be arriving on our shores.
