Metro 2033 Redux And Last Light Redux Getting Free PS5 And Xbox Upgrades
Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux are getting free next-gen updates
4A Games has announced free next-gen updates for Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux, arriving on PC on October 22 and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 29.
Both games will receive upgraded textures, lighting, animations, and audio, along with performance improvements and bug fixes.
On consoles, you can now choose between native 4K at 60 FPS or upscaled 4K at 120 FPS. The update also introduces PS5 Pro PSSR support and DualSense adaptive triggers.
“It has been an incredible journey over the last two decades, and we could not be more proud of what the team has achieved or more grateful to the players who have walked these tunnels with us,” said Jon Bloch, Executive Producer at 4A Games. “Our community has supported us from the very beginning; every milestone we reach belongs to them as much as to us. Returning to where it all began with the Next-Gen Update of METRO Redux – and bringing it to fans free of charge as we did with METRO Exodus – felt like the right way to continue to say thank you.”
PC players will receive DLSS support, uncapped frame rates and spatial audio.
The updates will be free for owners of both Metro Redux games.
