At Summer Game Fest last week, the Australian team at Beethoven & Dinosaur revealed more about their follow-up to The Artful Escape, their new game called Mixtape, which is set to release “soon.”

The game will follow three friends as they head out into the night for their final adventure together before their lives take a drastic turn. The game will feature some “dreamlike reenactments of their formative memories,” as well, so we’ll be able to learn more about these characters pre-their final nights’ adventures begin.

Mixtape is heavily music-infused, just like its predecessor, The Artful Escape. It will feature a banging soundtrack, with confirmed artists including DEVO, Roxy Music, Lush, The Smashing Pumpkins, Iggy Pop, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and Joy Division, with more artists and songs set to appear in the game.  

Mixtape will be releasing on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later in 2025.
