From the returning series to brand new ones, as well as some exciting shows spinning off from films, we’ve got plenty of shows to look forward to watching in 2026.

Here are our Most Anticipated TV Series of 2026.

10.) Shrinking: Season 3

One of the best comedies on television is back with another season that is sure to have us all in our emotions one minute and in stitches with laughter the next. With Colby Smulders set to reunite with How I Met Your Mother co-star Jason Segel as his love interest and an all-star lineup of guest stars, including Michael J. Fox, Sherry Cola, Jeff Daniels and Candice Bergen, this season is one I can’t wait for.

9.) Spider-Noir

After voicing the character in the Spider-Verse films, Nicholas Cage will now star in a series based around the character of Spider-Man Noir. Set in 1930s New York City, the series will try to recapture the authentic style of early 1930s noir films with a cast including Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson and Li Jun Li. How could you not be excited to see what Cage does here!

8.) Ponies

This series, starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson as CIA operatives thrown into a world of espionage after their husbands are killed, has looked super-intriguing to me since it was first announced. Richardson has been making a name for herself over the last couple of years, while Clarke has yet to hit that next big thing, after a few projects flopped (not her fault), and this looks like a great character piece for both of them.

7.) Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale

Buffy Summers is set to grace our TV screens again for the first time in 23 years with this continuation of the beloved Vampire Slaying series. With star Sarah Michelle Gellar returning in the titular role, Hamnet director Chloé Zhao directing the pilot episode and experienced genre showrunners Nora and Lilla Zuckerman leading this series, fans of the original have plenty to be hopeful for.

6.) House of the Dragon: Season 3

We’ve already got some Westeros on our screen to start the year off with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which certainly has a lot lighter tone compared to Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon. And given that a lot of the second season saw a lot of the red and green teams trying to play the war as peacefully as they could, most of the season, we’re expecting this third season to invite a lot of bloodshed.

5.) Euphoria: Season 3

Euphoria has had two sensational television series, and the expectations for this third season, which is coming four years after the second, are high. It has many questions to answer. We’ve seen in the trailer they’re moving a bunch of characters around, which will help somewhat with a time-jump, but there’s certainly been a feeling given how much some of the shows stars have blown up in the last four years, and how some of the story elements won’t be able to be continued that this third season won’t be able to live-up to the expecations, so we shall just have to wait and see.

4.) One Piece: Season 2

The first season of One Piece has been called one of the best western live-action adaptations of a manga or anime to date, and it sure seems like season 2 will see the show ramp things up. Luffy and the Straw Hats are set to continue their journey to the Grand Line and are set to face off against the secret organisation Baroque Works and will meet fan favourite character Tony Tony Chopper. Luffy’s quest to become the King of the Pirates is sure to be entertaining

3.) Blade Runner 2099

The world of Blade Runner has been expanded through games and comics, and then the film Blade Runner 2049, which was fantastic but was unfortunately let down by audience attendance. But with this new series, there’s a chance not only to build on the world, themes, and cyberpunk visuals, but also to introduce new audiences to the previous films. Visually, Blade Runner 2049 set a look and tone that the show will have to live up to, let alone the story, which we don’t know much about at this stage.

2.) A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

Now for something different from the Game of Thrones franchise. Rather than other story of royalty and leaders, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will tell the story of a simple hedge knight called Dunc and his young squire Egg. With a seemingly lighter tone compared to Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, this series looks to show us a different side of Westeros.

1.) Lanterns

The Green Lantern Corps is set to have its brightest day as the latest series in the new DCU is set to be released this year. Created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof and Tom King, who have said the show was influenced by detective series like True Detective and Slow Horses, it stars Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, two pieces of brilliant casting in my book. With Nathan Fillion also to appear as Guy Gardner, live-action redemption seems possible for the Green Lanterns.
