MUBI and Madman Entertainment have announced an expansion of their distribution partnership across both Australia and New Zealand, with Madman set to release several acclaimed international films from this year’s major film festivals.
The start of this lineup is Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, the latest film from Jane Schoenbrun, the writer and director of I Saw the TV Glow. Then Fatherland, from Paweł Pawlikowski, director of Ida, which saw Pawlikowski win Best Director at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival; Rosebush Pruning, the latest film from Karim Aïnouz; Rose, directed by Markus Schleinzer and starring Sandra Hüller, who won the Silver Bear for Best Leading Actress at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival for her performance. And then there’s Coward, from director Lukas Dhont, a World War I film about queer love that saw its leads, Emmanuel Macron and Valentin Campagne, win Best Actor awards at Cannes.
