Multiversus Season 2 is here – Marvin the Martian and Game Of Thrones Map Coming
<p class="">Multiversus is now moving into season 2 and there is plenty to be excited for.</p>
One of the big success stories of the year has been Multiversus. Since being released in Open Beta in July, the game has attracted more than 20 million players with its focus on 2v2 combat differentiating itself from other games in the genre. Meanwhile developers Player First Games have provided players with new characters, events and maps in the game’s first season. Multiversus is now moving into season 2 and there is plenty to be excited for.
The next character to be introduced into the game is Marvin the Martian. A staple of the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons, Marvin comes from the planet Mars and is equipped with an Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator explosive device, a powerful blaster and spaceship-summoning abilities. There are plenty of possibilities for how he could be implemented in the game, hopefully with his dog “K-9”. While he is often foiled by Bugs Bunny, his other main adversary is Duck Dodgers, a character played by Daffy Duck, either of whom would also be exciting additions to Multiversus.
A Game of Thrones map set in the throne room of King’s Landing is also coming Season 2 and will feature “an all-new remix of the awesome Game of Thrones theme music which has been composed with multiple sections that can transition dynamically depending on what mayhem is taking place in the match”. New maps generally have come with a relevant character so the addition of someone from the Game of Thrones universe wouldn’t be a crazy proposition.
There is also a brand new battlepass with new badges, icons/profile icons, banners and taunts to earn and unlock. Reaching level 50 on the free battle pass will get out a Baker Street Tom & Jerry Skin while completing the paid battlepass will get you a Maestro Bugs Bunny skin on top of an Astronaut Velma skin at level 1.
