NEOGEO AES+ Delayed Until September 2027
That's a big delay to hit the NEOGEO AES+
PLAION has delayed the worldwide launch of the NEOGEO AES+ from November 2026 to September 16, 2027. Yes, you didn’t read that incorrectly; that is nearly a whole year.
The company says demand for the system has been so much higher than they expected. This has prompted them to increase the manufacturing capacity and expand its “longer-term plans for the platform.” Of course, some of the blame for this delay also goes to ongoing global memory chip shortages.
Existing pre-orders will remain in place with no action required, and PLAION says it currently has no plans to increase the console’s price.
As compensation for the delay, Standard and Anniversary Edition consoles from the launch production run will include a free NEOGEO AES+ Gamepad. Ultimate Edition customers will instead receive a 30% discount voucher for a future game purchase.
