Netflix’s Geeked Week has return for 2023 and kick things off with Stranger Things Day! While the next season of Stranger Things is still very far away due the Writers and Actors Strikes on top of the usual amount of time the Duffer Brothers take between seasons, there are still a few things here that could fill that Eddie Munson-sized void in your heart (too soon?).

Stranger Things: The First Shadow

First, something only those who can get to London’s West End will experience in the near future: a Stranger Things stage show! The play is a prequel to Stranger Things, taking place in set in Hawkins, 1959 and will feature younger versions of beloved characters Joyce Byers, Jim Hopper and Bob Newby as well as a young Henry Creel aka 001 aka Vecna. While little is revealed about the plot in this featurette, they do say that this is the origin story of Henry Creel and of the Upside-Down. So if you’re interested and can get to London, visit strangerthingsonstage.com to get tickets with previews starting on 17th of November and currently running through to August 2024

Dead by Daylight

In 2019, a Stranger Things tie-in with the online asymmetric multiplayer survival horror game Dead by Daylight was released only for all that content to be pulled back in 2021. Now you can once again murder a bunch of people as the Demogorgon or try to survive as Steve Harrington or Nancy Wheeler. If you’re into that kind of thing.

Stranger Things VR

A new Stranger Things VR experience is coming on available November 30th to Meta Quest. You’ll play as Henry Creel just after he has been banished to the Upside-down by Eleven. Players will “invade the dreams and memories of fan-favorite characters and harness telekinetic powers to possess minds and battle creatures, as Henry Creel’s transformation into Vecna and his influence on the events of prior seasons is revealed.”

Stranger Things: Season Five Script Tease

Last year, the Stranger Things writers gave us a look at the cover page of the first script of season 5, now we get the first few lines.  A wonder what song that child might be singing…

That’s it for Stranger Things day. Not a great deal of content but understandable under the circumstances. Did anything on this list excite you? Did you rewatch any of Stranger Things to celebrate the day? Let us know in the comments below.
