Netflix has shared several new images and information surrounding The Crown’s sixth and final season.

“We’re very much in the beginning of the Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed story,” says Suzanne Mackie, executive producer of The Crown.

A big part of the sixth season will focus on Princess Diana’s (Elizabeth Debicki) relationship with Dodi Fayed (Khalid Abdalla). To that Debircki said she was excited to get into Season 6, because she knew there would be more chunks of the story where she wouldn’t feel as alone as she did in Season 5 of The Crown.

“For me, in terms of an overarching journey, one of the things that felt so important –– because we know where the story is going –– is to make sure that there was real joy and happiness and lightness and genuine fun on the screen.”

Although he was introduced in Season 5 alongside his father, Mohamed al-Fayed (Salim Daw), Dodi’s relationship with Diana is what it’s all been building towards and getting their romance right is super important.

“Their relationship, from beginning to end, was six weeks,” says Abdalla. “That’s one of the things that very often shocks people.”

Season 6, Part 1 of The Crown premieres on November 16. Part 2 premieres on December. 14
