May the 4th, also known as ‘Star Wars Day’, is about to be massive for Star Wars fans with Disney+ subscriptions. Not only is the finale of The Clone Wars: The Final Season airing on that day, but Disney has also just revealed a brand new program will release that day that takes us behind the scenes of The Mandalorian.
Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian is an eight-episode documentary about the making of the first season of The Mandalorian. It’ll premiere on May the 4th with a new episode releasing on Friday and every Friday thereafter.
“In Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, executive producer Jon Favreau invites the cast and crew to share an unprecedented look at the making of the series that quickly became a pop culture phenomenon after premiering last November. Each chapter explores a different facet of the first live-action Star Wars television show through interviews, never-before-seen footage, and roundtable conversations hosted by Favreau himself.”
In the same blogpost, Disney also revealed this very menacing new piece of artwork for The Clone Wars: The Final Season.
