The June 2024 Nintendo Direct was well anticipated. Even with the successor to the Nintendo Switch on the horizon, the second half of 2024 is still very empty, and there were plenty of spots to fill for Nintendo fans and Nintendo Switch owners.
Fortunately, Nintendo quickly supplied games to lock in the upcoming months with two new Mario games on the horizon and gave sneak peeks into 2025.
Here are all the trailers and news from the June 2024 Nintendo Direct.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership
A new entry in the Mario & Luigi series is coming soon.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership will be released on November 7 2024
Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition
Over 150 speed-training modes/challenges will be available in this game for the NES hardcore to prove themselves on.
Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition is releasing on July 18 2024.
Fairy Tail 2
A new game based on the manga/anime.
Fairy Tail 2 will be released in Summer 2024.
Fantasian Neo Dimension
This game was initially released on Apple Arcade but is now making its way to Nintendo Switch.
Fantasian Neo Dimension will be released this holiday season.
Nintendo Switch Sports
Basketball is being added as a free update to Nintendo Switch Sports and you’ll be able to either play 2v2, throw hoops by yourself, or free-for-all.

MIO: Memories in Orbit
This looked like a fast-paced 2D-action game.
MIO: Memories in Orbit will be released on Nintendo Switch in 2025.
Disney Illusion Island
‘Mystery in Monarch’ is a new free DLC that will be available for download later today.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Another Apple Arcade game is coming to Nintendo Switch, this time as a timed console exclusive next year.
Loony Tunes Wacky World of Sports
A new Loony Tunes game with four sports games inside was announced.
This will release later in 2024.
Among Us
New roles are coming to the game later today as a free update.
Farmagia
This farming RPG is coming soon.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD
This HD remaster of Donkey Kong Country Returns will also include the new levels added for the 3DS release.
Donkey Kong Country Returns HD will be released on January 16 2025
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake
Not only is Dragon Quest III getting an HD-2D remake, but the other two games in the ‘Edrick Trilogy,’ Dragon Quest I & II will also get HD-2D remakes. It was explained it’d been done in this order so players could play the story chronologically, not in release order.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will release on November 14 2024. The remakes for Dragon Quest I and Dragon Quest II wil release in 2025.
Funko Fusion
A new look at Funko Fusions gameplay.
The game will be released on September 13 2024
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD
Here’s a short new trailer for Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD.
The game is releasing very soon, on June 27 2024
The New Denpa Men
This new Denpa Men game is coming to Nintendo Switch as a timed console exclusive on July 22
Metal Slug Attack Reloaded
This new Metal Slug game takes the run-and-gun and adds in a tower defence formula.
Metal Slug Attack Reloaded will be available later today.
Darkest Dungeon II
A short trailer for the upcoming rogue-like sequel.

Nintendo Switch Online

Super Mario Party Jamboore
Nintendo says this will be the biggest Mario Party game yet, with more than 110 mini-games. You can play with others online in ‘Koopatholon Mode,’ but can you play the base game with others online? That’s my question.
Super Mario Party Jamboore will be released on October 17 2024.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Nintendo has finally given The Legend of Zelda a game where you’ll play as the person whose name is on the box. That’s right, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is about Zelda going on a mission to save Hyrule and Link. She won’t use a sword and shield like Link; however, she is using magic to create ‘mimics’ of objects to solve puzzles and creatures to fight for her.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be released on September 26.
Just Dance 2025 Edition
A short trailer for the upcoming 2025 edition of Just Dance.

It’s still kinda wild to see Horizon in a Nintendo Direct, but here’s a new look at LEGO Horizon Adventures which is coming to both PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch this holiday season.

Tales of the Shire: A Lord of The Rings Game

The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy
Spike Chunsoft has announced its new game, The Hundred Line Last Defense Academy. It looks very much like Danganronpa in style but without the same gameplay elements, as this has what looks like a grid-based tower defence element.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven
The remake of Romancing SaGa 2 is getting closer to its October 24 release date.
