It’s only a week on from the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, but Nintendo has shown up again, this time with a Nintendo Indie Showcase. It was a tight fifteen-minute showcase, featuring ten games and a montage, with a few exciting release dates and new trailers included. And no, that doesn’t include Hollow Knight: Silksong, which wasn’t here.

Here’s all the trailers and news from the Nintendo Indie Showcase – August 2025.

Mina the Hollower

The upcoming new game from Yacht Club, the developers of Shovel Knight, got a new trailer, as well as a release date, which is the most exciting part.

Mina the Hollower will be released on October 31.

Well Deller

This was a new reveal for Well Dewell, a metroidvania that looks to have a lot of style as you play as a bird armed with a matchstick.

Neverway

A new trailer for Neverway showcases its dark pixel-ark, and the game’s mix between life-sim and the darkness you’ll be battling at night time.

Neverway is releasing in 2026.

Herdling

A new trailer for Herdling showcases the upcoming game from Okomotive, the team behind games like Far Changing Tides and Far Lone Sails.

Herdling is releasing on August 21.

Is This Seat Taken?

A new trailer for Is This Seat Taken? reminds everyone the game is out now.

Little Kitty, Big City – The Picture Purffect Update

A new trailer for the upcoming DLC for Little Kitty, Big City, which adds things like photo mode, and a new area to explore.

No release date for this DLC yet.

Content Warning

In Content Warning, you’re basically playing a YouTube streaming sim, except you’re streaming to Spooktube and trying to score views by scaring.

Content Warning has been popular on PC already ,and it’s now coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.

Ball x Pit

An exciting one for me as I was a big fan of the demo for Ball x Pitt, this newest look at the upcoming ball-breaking action-roguelike reveals that the game is releasing in October.

Ball x Pitt will be released on October 15 on Nintendo Switch, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version to follow later in the year.

Ultimate Sheep Racoon

Up to eight players can race and build courses together in this party-and-obstacles-based racing game.

Ultimate Sheep Raccoon is set to release later in 2025.

Glaciered

In this underwater game, you play as a new type of creature that’s battling all types of sharks and dinosaur-like creatures under the sea in this RPG that’s set years after Earth has been devoured by water.

Glaciered is set to release later in 2025.
