'Paws of Valisthea' is a cuties event featuring dogs in Final Fantasy XVI costumes, with prizes up for grabs on June 17th

Square Enix Australia is hosting ‘Paws of Valisthea’ on June 17th in homage to Clive’s fearless companion, Torgal, in the upcoming Final Fantasy XVI.

The event will feature canines in costumes, and attendees can participate in dress-up or simply admire the others in costume. If you do not have a costume for your dog, worry not, as exclusive designs by MissTwisted will be available for canine guests to have their photos taken wearing the costume.

It is worth mentioning that if your dog, or even yourself, are uncomfortable among crowds, other dogs, or wearing costumes, don’t put your canine friend or yourself in situations that could cause undue stress.

If you don’t have your own pupper yet, there will be adoptable rescue dogs on-site from the RSPCA NSW, and donations to the organisation will be greatly appreciated.

There will be prizes up for grabs, including copies of Final Fantasy XVI (upon release), and a PlayStation 5 console for the best-dressed pup.

Fans can also play Final Fantasy XVI ahead of its release.

Logistics: Bring, borrow or simply admire your favourite canines – attendees are encouraged to take part in the fun and dress up their dog coats and bandanas inspired by FINAL FANTASY XVI’s mythical Eikons, with the dog in the most creative (and comfortable!) accessories and their owner walking away with a FINAL FANTASY XVI prize-pack and PS5 console.
