The build-up to PAX Aus 2023 has started to speed up a month out with the announcement of this year’s Storytime Speaker. Renowned actor and voice-over artist Erika Ishii will kick start the convention in the main theatre on Friday 6th October at 12:00 pm AEDT.

Erika Ishii is known for her roles as Valkyrie in Apex Legends, Ana Bray and Kridis in Destiny 2, Lumu in Halo Infinite, Kitsune in Call of Duty: Warzone and Hermes in Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical. She also has appeared in a number of TTRPG shows like Dimension 20 and Critical Role as well as co-creating the narrative-play podcast, Worlds Beyond Number which makes her a great fit for the convention which brings Table Top and Video Game players together. Former PAX Aus Storytime Speakers include Shuhei Yoshida, David Gaider, Rhianna Pratchett, Burnie Burns and Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb.
Speaking of David Gaider, he and Summerfall Studios will be at the show, showcasing Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical and sharing “secrets, stories, music and myths!” Devlover Digital have also confirmed that attendees will get an exclusive ‘first look’ showcase of Plucky Squire.
Other confirmed guest for PAX Aus 2023 include voice actors Ben Prendergast and Jenny Yokobori, musical ensemble The Consouls, The Dark Room’s John Robertson, Twitch gaming variety show Back Pocket, renowned Games Master Robert Hartly and the TOS Girls, some of Australia’s largest and most respected female streamers.
