PlatinumGames Says ‘Bayonetta 3’ Is Going Well; Team Focused On Astral Chain At The Moment

PlatinumGames is at E3 this year showing off their upcoming Nintendo Switch game, Astral Chain, which will be releasing at the end of August this year. Missing from E3 was Bayonetta, which was announced in 2017. But many fans of Bayonetta were hoping for an update on the third game this E3, which includes me. Thankfully it sounds like everything is going well and it’s just Astral Chain’s time to shine.

Speaking to VGC, Atsushi Inaba, Studio Head at PlatinumGames said the development of the game is going really well.

“Games aren’t usually done in a year or two — it takes a while. That’s all. Things are going well and I know a lot of people are asking for it. Giving updates for everything at E3 isn’t the smartest PR, to begin with, so just because we’re not showing it here doesn’t mean it’s going well.”

So even if it’s disappointing for fans not to get a tease, it sounds like PlatinumGames wants to focus all attention on its upcoming release of Astral Chain at the moment, which makes perfect sense.
