Overnight Sony has announced that the next PlayStation 5 showcase will take place on Thursday, the 17th of September at 6 AM AEST.

 The blog post announcing the showcase reads:

 Before PlayStation 5 launches this holiday, we wanted to give you one more look at some of the great games coming to PS5 at launch (and beyond!).

Our next digital showcase will weigh in at around 40 minutes, and feature updates on the latest titles from Worldwide Studios and our world-class development partners. 

Although there is no mention of the PlayStation 5 price and release date, I would expect both of those to drop during this event. 

Xbox had been planning their own event for this same week where they would have announced the release date and price, but unfortunately, leaks forced their hand and all of those were released this past week.
