Niantic has announced that Pokémon GO City Safari is heading to Brisbane on September 26-27, 2026, bringing a weekend of exclusive Pokémon encounters, citywide exploration and event bonuses to Queensland.
Running from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM AEST each day, the event will transform Brisbane, encouraging Trainers to explore the city’s riverfront, neighbourhoods and landmarks while completing exclusive event activities.
One of the main additions and reasons to play during this event is the ‘GO Stamp Rally,’ which sends players across Brisbane collecting stamps from participating PokéStops. Completing the rally rewards Trainers with encounters featuring Eevee wearing an explorer hat.
Ticket holders will also receive access to exclusive Special Research, joining Professor Willow to investigate Pokémon appearing throughout the city.
The event will also mark one of the featured appearances of Mudbray, which joins the global Pokémon GO City Safari events throughout 2026.
Players visiting the official City Safari Hub at Queen Street Mall can collect exclusive giveaways, including Pokémon GO City Safari Pikachu visors and sticker packs, while supplies last.

Ticket Holder Bonuses
Players attending on their ticketed day will receive a range of in-game bonuses between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, including:
- Increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon
- Four-hour Lure Modules (excluding Golden Lure Modules)
- Up to five Special Trades
- 50% Stardust discount on trades
- Extended Party Play duration
- Chance for Buddy Pokémon to find the exclusive Tiny Compass souvenir
Optional Raid Lover, Egg-thusiast and Extra Day Add-On upgrades will also be available for trainers wanting additional bonuses across the weekend.
